Resolved Question: Israel Travel : The future of sovereignty?
This is to everyone. Let us play a game. The name of this game is “solve the conflict,” and your objective is to succinctly (and in your own words) negotiate a final-status agreement. Keep reality in mind- it would be idiotic for you to say that the Israelis should leave and give the land to the Arabs, or that Israel should send all of the Palestinians to settle in Hawaii. Pretend you have this space to solve the conflict. You propose a solution, and if the compromise is good enough both sides will agree. You will hold all of the fame that comes with solving such a bloody conflict. You also win ten points. Ok, go: Solve the conflict. One or two states? Boundaries? Jerusalem? Refugees? International zones? Some of these answers are great. I will read them fully as soon as I have the time; things have been busy with work. Thanks a lot.
Resolved Question: Possible trip to Jordan and Jerusalem with family wife/2 kids. Ideas? Travel warnings? Safety?
We travel extensively, but not usually in such “hot” spots. Renting a car a bad idea? Do we go through west bank to get to jerusalem from dead sea-jordan side? My philosophy is treat others as you would like to be treated-respect their faith and country as guests/visitors-however I am from U.S. and I do not want problems. Everything I have read says that Jordanian people are super friendly/accomadating. Turkey is a 2nd choice for vacation. Any ideas/tips would be greatly appreciated
